Kids Cancer Australia is a charitable organisation who prides itself on Supporting and Empowering Kids with Cancer throughout Australia.
Their key goal is to raise funds through events, donations, partnerships and public appeals, so that they can achieve their key objectives:
- Ensure young children and adolescents with cancer are provided with the best possible care;
- Ensure immediate family and carers are provided the best possible support, education and information;
- Support the establishment of adolescent oncology total care units in every major city in Australia;
- Establish and provide holiday accommodation and getaways for kids with cancer and their families;
- Support evidence based childhood and adolescent cancer treatment, rehabilitation, research and preventions programs; and
- Promote community awareness and education in relation to childhood and adolescent cancer.

Global Health Drinks
Global Health Drinks is a network of Doctors who share an interest in developing world and global health issues including indigenous health.
It is their aim it is to provide a relaxed forum for discussion and education for Australian doctors and to assist with information and contacts to guide those interested in learning more about the developing world
The aim is to inspire and assist those Doctors keen to work overseas, and show that is indeed possible to combine altruistic work with a successful career in Australia.
Global Health Drinks demonstrates to people that there are many options, that volunteer organisations can cater to your individual needs in terms of need to bring a partner, duration of work, disaster relief vs development work, research vs clinical work, level of experience, etc
Meetings are held every second month, enabling doctors to contact others who have already worked in developing countries, share experiences and learn how to prepare yourself for working in a developing country.
